Who is Jesus to me?
Jesus is the Word made flesh.
Jesus is the bread of life.
Jesus is the victim offered
for our sins on the cross.
Jesus is the sacrifice offered for mine
and for the sins of the world.
Jesus is the word that must be proclaimed.
Jesus is the truth, which must be told.
Jesus is the life, which must be walked.
Jesus is the light, which must be made to shine.
Jesus is life, which must be lived.
Jesus is love, which must be loved.
Jesus is joy, which must be shared.
Jesus is the sacrifice, which must be offered.
Jesus is peace, which must be given.
Jesus is the bread of life, which must be eaten.
Jesus is the hungry, who must be fed.
Jesus is the thirsty, who must be given drink.
Jesus is the naked, who must be clothed.
Jesus is the homeless, who must be sheltered.
Jesus is the sick, who must be healed.
Jesus is the lonely, who must be comforted.
Jesus is the unwanted, who must be wanted. Jesus is the leper, who must be washed in his wounds.
Jesus is the beggar, who must be gratified with a smile.
Jesus is the drunkard, whom we must listen to.
Jesus is the mentally ill, whom we must protect.
Jesus is the little one, whom we must embrace.
Jesus is the blind, whom we must guide.
Jesus is the mute, to whom we must speak.
Jesus is the lame, with whom we must walk.
Jesus is the drug addict, whom we must help.
Jesus is the prostitute, to be saved from danger and supported.
Jesus is the prisoner, who must be visited.
Jesus is the old, who must be served.
To me
Jesus is my God
Jesus is my spouse
Jesus is my life
Jesus is my only love
Jesus is my everything of everything.
My fullness.
Jesus,
here is who I love with all my heart,
with all my being.
I gave him everything,
even my sins.
And he married me to himself.
In tenderness and love.
Now and for life.
I am the bride of my crucified groom.
