It is said that you cannot command love. So, what if I am attracted to someone who is already committed to another relationship? Is happiness not more important than social rules?
- In such a case, it would be better not to let the attraction develop into a deeper feeling. Love is not something that is imposed on me by fate. There is always a moment when I am given the possibility to choose.
Do you really believe that someone who is already married (1) and who tries to seduce you can truly give you what love promises?
- As for myself, do I have the right to break up a marriage and a family and to make myself the judge by saying to myself, “They were unhappy together anyway!”? - There will always be a great deal of suffering in a relationship in which freedom has in some way been trapped. And considerable effort will sometimes be required to justify, in the eyes of others — and in our own eyes — a situation that was not right from the beginning.
Our hearts and our lives demand much more than a happiness whose future is already limited from the outset.
